Gone to the Dogs

Why do the doggies love to cuddle up to the least doggiest person in the room? Dillie and Roger's dachsunds, Mollie (black) and BettE ("Betty") are pretty cute, I have to admit. Here is BettE eating the last of my fudgesicle which is apparently something that she expects whenever anyone in the house partakes of fudgesicles.

Ring the doorbell, and they dash to the front, barking as if the Mexican Army is charging and they're defending the Alamo! Open the door, they see it's you, and immediately, they go quiet, turn away, and walk back into the living room to lie down. When Nancy started eating her fudgesicle, BettE was asleep in the back bedroom. From nowhere, she "appeared" next to Nancy, sitting up on the couch, eyeing the prize, hardly able to constrain the urge to lunge and snap. Dillie says she can smell fudgesicles in her sleep! Patience and good manners were rewarded in the end.

Ha! Thats great! And yes...isn't it funny that animals are attracted to the people that aren't necessarily their biggest fans.

I think BettE is attracted to fudgesicles, regardless of the people involved! ;-)
