Family

Last night we visited my cousin, Fran, on Papa's side (the Henry's) near Greenville, Texas. Fran and I marveled when we added up the years--it has been a whopping 50 years since we last saw each other! We spent the evening reminiscing, looking at old pictures, and getting reacquainted. Fran and Frank live on a lake which is where we sat in the early evening. Then we were joined by Fran's daughter, Shelly, and her daughter, Tate. Fabulous evening! Here are some scenes from last night.
Today we were able to fit in a trip to visit Fran's mother, Ruth, my Papa's sister. She is 99 but you would never know it!

They were very hospitable to us, and the family dinner was fabulous! It was good to witness (and film) this reunion between these cousins, with promises of our hosting them if and when they return to Seattle. Nancy and Fran are making plans...

What fun!! They look like really nice people. And I loved hearing your story yesterday about your getting to see your Aunt again. It would be fun if they came up for a visit. Whats the plan?

P.S. You look great Mom!

Thanks, Ames! Maybe next spring. Keeping my fingers crossed. Fran may visit the blog, too.
