These are fabulous. We often have herons sitting in the trees in our backyard.
Wow... that must be wonderful. They are so large and quiet (except when they squawk!), they are quite a presence.Thanks for visiting and commenting!

Thanks, Caroline. It's so quiet on the canal this time of year. Going out on the deck at night under the stars. looking across the water at these lights, quite impressive. I didn't want to come home :-(
But you had to go home to share these with us!
