Some fairly heavy rain and strong winds brought high surf warnings and lots of water up onto the roads and walkways. Here are a couple of surf shots that don't do justice, of course.


Zebra doves are everywhere and their sweet cooing sound one of the most familiar sounds in Hawaii. They are so bold as to be somewhat of a pest in outdoor restaurants, landing on your table and even on your plate, if you don't watch out!
